Welcome. I am Kevin Trainor. Ligent is the consulting and training practice that I started in 2002. I have provided services in systems design, software development, courseware development, and course delivery. In recent years, my involvement in Ligent work has been limited by my substantial commitment to full-time teaching at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
I retired from full-time teaching in May, 2026. In this post-retirement phase, I am devoting most of my time to volunteer activities related to my professional interests. This includes volunteering at the Chicago Botanic Garden and the Glenview Public Library. Nevertheless, I do expect to continue to have time available to assist Ligent clients.
